Cyprus has been home to many cultures over the ages, but to most of us simply know it as a great hotspot, which has made it a very popular destination with tourists, with over 2.4 million visiting its many resorts. Cyprus basks is more than 330 clorious days of sun each year, which has given it the name The Island of the Sun. With plenty of travel agents tailoring Cyprus holidays and budget airlines including Monarch offering routes to Paphos and Larnaca, it has never been easier to get there.

While attracting visitors from around the world, most of them tend to be Europeans. Affluent eastern Europeans and Russians have also joined the crowd in recent years. The British Armed Forces have long has a presence in Cyprus. With quick and easy access to the Middle East, this is likely to be the case for some time to come. As such the Brits are now almost as local and the locals, and in turn, now cater for the Brits. English is widely spoke and understood among nearly all age groups to driving on the left side of the road. No doubt the similarity to the UK makes us Brits feel more at home, but we also get to bask in the sun.

For many reading this, the prospect of taking a holiday away from England only to be greeted at the airport by a hire car representative hailing from Croydon and being served an authentic Mediterranean dish of steak and chips will not appeal. However, this side of Cyprus, that continues to attract millions of tourists year after year, is only one aspect of the island and is concentrated around the tourist hotspots of Paphos, Larnaca and Ayia Napa. Fortunately as you venture off the beaten track, your are soon reminded of the character that has made this island a popular destination for millennia.

A trip well worth taking is into Cyprus largest mountain range, the Troodos Mountains. In the heart of the mountains you will find the Kykkos monastery, a UNESCO world heritage site since 1998. Housing art and exhibits on ancient Greece, the monastery has the twin function of being a museum for visitors and a practising monastery lived in by worshiping monks. If you are a wine lover, there are treats in store for you. A daytrip to the Troodos Mountains can be a welcome change from the beach and with overnight accommodation available in many of the authentic villages dotted about; you might want to spend a few days here sampling another side of Cyprus.

I doubt that anyone reading this article hasn’t at one time or another found his or her business dropping off significantly. For some unknown reason, and without any warning, everything seems to stop. The phone stops ringing, your e-mail box has nothing but advertisements and it appears as if your business has come to an end. What happened and even more important what should you do when it appears as if your business has hit a wall?

Whatever We Focus Our Attention On Expands!

Usually, our first reaction to a drop in business is to panic putting all of our attention on what isn’t working. We immediately start worrying and complaining, commiserating with others who may be experiencing a similar situation. Although it’s a natural reaction, it’s actually the worst thing you can do. Why? Because there is a powerful premise that says: “Whatever we focus our attention on expands.” Ponder that for just a moment. Have you noticed that every time you pay strict attention to what isn’t working, it just seems to get bigger? Whether you believe it or not, the fact remains that when we put our attention on what isn’t working, it seems that things get worse. Yet when we put our attention on what is working, it seems that things quickly improve. Changing your state of mind alters the circumstances.

The Tide Comes in and the Tide Goes Out!

One of the important lessons I’ve learned through the years is that predictably business will have its ups and downs. The tide comes in and the tide goes out. As a person who enjoys my work immeasurably, when I first began my writing business, I would become terrified if the phone stopped ringing. I couldn’t figure out what happened and thought I needed to do something quickly to alter the situation. But once I learned that the ebbs and flows are natural, I made it a point to choose a different approach. Instead of staring at the pot of water waiting for it to boil, I started learning how to release the situation and put my mind on something else. As soon as I was really able to let go, things shifted. Either a new idea occurred to me, past clients contacted me out of the blue, new clients appeared or I simply decided it was time for a rest.

Prime the Pump!

Now whenever those quiet times occur, which are less and less frequent, I simply do my best to relax. By changing my focus and remembering all of the above, new ideas bubble up and I start to feel more creative. In fact during a recent quiet period I was inspired to donate my writing of a bio to a charity. Just as we need to prime the pump by adding a little water to it, I realized that giving some of my services away as a gift was a good way to get things moving again. It immediately changed the energy around my situation.

Taking Action!

But if you’re like most of the online entrepreneurs who prefer to take action while waiting for things to shift, I suggest doing some simple things that don’t put any pressure on you but give you a sense of accomplishment. The following few ideas can easily be applied during the down times.

1. Write an article and submit it to a popular publication. Nothing will give you quite the same sense of achievement as seeing an article you’ve written in print plus it’s one of the more positive things to do when you aren’t very busy. Just about everyone has something they’ve learned through their experiences that others would love to know about. Share it in an article and you’ll be amazed at how quickly the tide turns.

2. Write a press release and distribute it through one of the free press release distribution services. Often smaller companies think a press release is only for the big guys and hold back from using the media. But press releases are for everyone. Several of my clients have put out a press release and had overwhelming results they never expected.

3. Narrow your focus. When one of my clients found her business slowing down, she decided it was time to try a new tactic. She had been spending a lot of money on advertisements that weren’t working for her, plus her site wasn’t getting the amount of traffic she expected. Instead of focusing her attention on trying to reach everyone, she started putting attention only in places that were associated with her particular industry. She found that once she began focusing specifically on her arena many more people started visiting her site and business started picking up.

4. Try networking. We often forget that there are a lot of people who would be delighted to join forces with us by linking to our sites or referring us to someone they know. Recently, I made a connection with someone who aligned perfectly with my business. After communicating with him via e-mail I found that his site and services were very complimentary to my services. I then suggested to him that we add each other to our sites, which is exactly what we’ve done. The added exposure that we can provide each other has been extremely beneficial

5. Update your web site. Although your web site presentation has appeared online for quite a while, and you have realized a degree of success, perhaps it’s possible that your site needs some refreshing or revamping. Try looking at your web site from an objective viewpoint, almost as if you’re seeing it for the very first time. Review it carefully and notice if it still appeals to your eye and your ear. If not, add a new article, change the verbiage or add some new pictures. Figure out a way to optimize your site by adding search engine friendly content so that more people will find you. You don’t necessarily have to change your site, but simply update it while you’re waiting.

6. Visit past successes. Now may be a good time to stop by and say hello to clients from the past. They may have forgotten your e-mail address and might be in need of your services again. Or if someone has been happy with your services, ask if they would be willing to recommend you and suggest that you will pay them a small finder’s fee for anyone who becomes a paid referral. Maintaining good relationships with your past clients and customers is a great way of keeping your business flowing.

Just because you aren’t busy for the moment doesn’t mean that all of your hard work has come to an end. In fact this may very well be a great time for contemplation. Instead of scrambling to quickly drum up more business or fretting about the lack of income, perhaps this is the time to be still as you consider some new strategies. Before making a judgment about your quiet time, why not use it as an opportunity for expansion and growth?

We know that email marketing is a cheap method to reach our customers, prospects and subscribers. However, the increasing amount of unsolicited commercial email is clogging up the inboxes of everyone.

So how do you improve the chances of making your email stand out from junk mail? (And I’m assuming you’re not sending out unsolicited email. If you are, shame on you.)

First, you want to make it easy for your subscriber or prospect to quickly identify that it’s from someone they know — “you.”

Make sure that your “From” line uses your full name rather than something generic like “Webmaster.” You want to burn your name into your prospect’s mind. A webmaster could be anyone.

Never use ALL CAPS in your subject line

Don’t use an exclamation mark “!” either.

Use the same phrase repeatedly in the subject line whenever you send an email. For example, in my ezine, I use my initials DC in the subject line: “DC Web Success Ezine.” So if you’re creating an ezine make sure you use the title consistently.

Put your prospect or subscriber’s name in the subject line, e.g. “Susan, Get This Special Report.” (This is easy to do if you use an autoresponder. Get one at http://www.GetResponse.com

Spend time on creating an attention grabbing subject line that will entice the reader to open the email, it’s as an important as creating a headline for an ad. But be careful not to use words (such as Free) that could target your email by anti-spam software.

Write two or three compelling subject lines. Then divide up your “Opt in” mailing list and test to see which subject line gets the most response or clickthroughs.

Apply these techniques and you stand a much better chance of having your email read, not sent to the prospect’s “trash” folder.

The first chart is a NYSE Oscillator weekly chart that shows severely overbought indicators. An oscillator for the oscillator, ULT, is above 70, which is rare. The other three indicators, above and below the price chart, are also severely overbought. The four-week MA is at 39.85, which is in the region where the market is about to consolidate or start a downtrend (also shown in older charts).

The second chart is an SPX daily chart that also shows severely overbought conditions. Major resistance continues to be around 1,270 (upper monthly Bollinger Band). The first major support level is the 10-day MA, currently at 1,247 and rising. If SPX begins a consolidation next week, it may fall to the 10-day MA, which will rise to around 1,255 by the middle of next week. Also, 1,253 is a multi-year Fibonacci level.

There are many economic reports next week, following the Thanksgiving holiday week: Monday–Existing Home Sales, Tuesday–Durable Goods Orders, New Home Sales, Consumer Confidence, Wednesday–GDP, GDP Chain Price Deflator, Chicago PMI, Oil Inventories, Fed’s Beige Book, Thursday–Personal Income, Personal Spending, Construction Spending, Unemployment Claims, Auto Sales, ISM Index, Friday–Nonfarm Payrolls, Hourly Earnings, Unemployment Rate.

The market may fall into a volatile trading range next week. A lot of positive news was priced-in recently. However, inflation remains an uncertainty, although the market has been pricing-in the end of the monetary tightening cycle. Moreover, gasoline prices are still high, although down from their peaks, which may slow consumption growth.

This is my mathematical strategy I use to achieve everything I want in life. Allow me to explain…

Now when I was suffering with anxiety and panic disorder I did spend some time just wishing and hoping it would disappear. Actually I really wanted it to take a long walk off a short pier. And I wouldn’t have been sad if it had fallen off the face of the earth.

But of course with all my wishing and hoping it only grew bigger and seemed more apparent to me it was going to stick around and haunt me!

Where was this magical pill? Sitting on anti depressants for over 6 months and it was still there following me (if only the good things in life could be this dang loyal and hang around like this!).

Desperate times were drawing to desperate measures, I was prepared to do ANYTHING and I mean anything to get rid of this anxiety and panic disorder.

So I begun to research, reading all the information I could find on it. However I realized just my desire and all the reading in the world wasn’t going to fix it; I had to take action too! I had to apply and test different things to get an outcome.

Now of course I tried many of things without the desired outcome. But at least I was starting to get somewhere and my desire wasn’t going to quit until I found the outcome that I wanted to achieve!

And that was NO MORE ANXIETY & PANIC EVER! That is what I wanted!

Of course I did eventually find something that did work. It worked because I used my mathematical strategy. Desire + Action = Outcome.

I now use this same strategy for everything I want to achieve in life.

Just because I don’t get the desired outcome the first time round doesn’t mean I give up, my desire is far too strong for that!

So remember next time you really want something: Desire + Action = Outcome repeat as necessary until you reach your desired result.

Payday loans are often criticized because the lenders target the poor and the young who have no knowledge about the time value of money. The time value of money (TVM) is also known as the “discounted present value”. It is considered as one of the basic concepts of finance developed in 1202 by Leonardo Fibonacci.

The TVM is based on the idea that a person will prefer to receive a certain amount of money today than to receive that same amount tomorrow or at some time in the future. A $100 can be used to buy several things today, but after a year, this $100 may not no longer be capable of purchasing the same things, and in five years, the same $100 could be considered worthless. The lesser capacity may be due to inflation and other economic factors. In other words, a $100 today is far more valuable than the same $100 next year. This is why money that is deposited in the bank must earn interest.

The future value of a certain amount of money can be computed using the compounded interest formula. For example, the annual interest rate of money is set at 20%. This means that after one year, the value of $100 today will be equivalent to $120. And after another year, the equivalent value becomes $144. If we project the money farther into the future, the value of a $100 today, at 20% annual interest, after five years will be $248.832. Of course, if the interest is lower, perhaps 5%, the value in five years will also be lower.

With payday loans, however, the annual interest could range from 180% to 420%. This means that the lender is projecting a $100 to be worth $280 next year. This is obviously an exaggeration. Money values could not inflate that much and that fast. And when viewed this way, getting a payday loan is indeed considered a bad financial move. This is one of the foremost criticisms against payday loans.

Yet, the interest charged by payday loans is definitely lower than bank charges for bouncing checks. And these loans do meet the needs of people who find themselves in a cash flow gap. Also, Payday loan lenders have one strong reason why they charge high interest rates. If they utilize the usual or conventional interest rates, they will earn lower amounts.

For example, if they charge only 20% annual interest (instead of the 180%) and even compounded weekly for a one month loan, the interest would be about $0.38. This amount cannot cover their operational expenses and the cost of processing the loans. Payday loan lenders will be in worse shape compared to any other company on a shoe-string budget.

Shopping for a pre-teen or teen can be extremely hard at times, if their only requests are way out of your budget. They’ve outgrown parties and clothes are a definite “no”. Here’s the perfect gift you can give your 12yr old or older child.

Take a trip to the mall.

Seems simple enough, but it works on several levels. At a certain age, your daughter decides she’s independent. Any clothes you buy her will not be acceptable, and there’s no way she’ll tolerate a birthday party.

Too young to be left to party alone, too old for gifts. Planning a trip to the mall with her friends can be the best gift you can give her.

It may sound impersonally to give them money, however, at this age I’m sure they won’t mind one bit. Pick your spending budget ahead of time, and decide how many friends she’s alowed to take with her. If you choose a mall with a theater, they can also decide if they’d like to see a movie as well. Each child is going to need some money, with your’s holding the bulk. So if your budget is small, only let them invite one or two friends.

Clear your schedule and plan to be in the mall the entire time. Following them around every store isn’t the best idea, but do stay within the area. Plan to meet at a specific place at specific times to check in. The amount of time they spend at the mall will be up to them, but the idea of checking in is make sure they are behaving, or ready to leave.

Talk about plans ahead of time to make sure this is what they want for their birthday. They may also be able to help you plan, and decide what’s on the schedule for that day. She can also check movie times, just in case.

A trip to the mall not only takes care of the gift, but the party as well. Just enough freedom could be the best gift of all.

I have seen people get very excited about them when they find one, thinking they will be valuable someday. They do go for up to $1.00 at the time.

If you are out hunting and find a 1943 penny and it’s only a copper penny, it’s not a
matter to be disappointed about however. The 1943 copper penny is considered rare and
sells for between $20,000.00 and $95,000.00 depending on the quality. You can tell if
you have found the right penny because it will not stick to a magnet. Happy hunting.

The Property Index site has a vast range of property for sale in Italy, view the range online.

Even if PropertyIndex.com must be rated a young syndicate, doing business since March 2007, they have proven their mettle very quickly. They are actually a extraordinarily easy going syndicate dedicated to looking after and guiding every customer who is intending to buy realty almost anywhere in the world. Their promise is to be of help to you to light on exactly what you crave for swiftly and, obviously, straightforwardly. Property can be bought in most popular areas of the world now, one of the choicest areas being property on the market in Italy. It’s no big challenge to catalogue the wonderful properties on the market in Italy, the explanation for looking for land here is a combination of the houses and apartments available and the possibility of being able to live with such a spirited population.

It is one of the truly sought after countries now, and considering the scenic splendor and great sunshine surrounding you all year long, how could you ever be wrong? Property in Italy is immersed in culture, art and history, this part of the world is home to a fair number of sophisticated nations. Only 30 years ago there’d be merely a tiny number of Englishmen in search of properties in Italy. Ask any one person who has relocated to Italy and they’ll be sure to substantiate this. There are those who would tend to view it as a mere vogue and others tend to view it as a that’s more or less an addiction! Patrons that are intent on migrating to this place may range from young yuppie couples looking for some new challenge in life to OAPs intending to have a break.

Note that you may encounter some drawbacks when buying properties in a foreign country: you’ll want to cope with dozens of disparate, conflicting, steps when working out a plan, calling in or signing up. If you miss out on only a single action that is certain to well trigger wide-ranging drawbacks as well as, more important, loss of money. As you would anticipate with this well-liked destination, properties may be high-cost in this region and that’s basically caused by the increasing buyer demand. This notwithstanding, real estate buyers are spoiled in a region determined by shining site. It truly has all, stock and barrel, a homebuyer might desire and more.
