Being a cowboy didn’t use to be such a honest job. Back in the times of the Wild West, cowboys were feared. People would run for thehills when the heard that the cowboys were coming through town. Fights with Indians over land, gunfights and bars. Robbing stuff and killing is what they did best. Many of the outlaws had become local celebrities, getting anything that they wanted. Places loved to get robbed by the famous cowboys; it just brought them more attention. You could tell how popular and famous a cowboy was by the amount of money on the warrant a sign that were posted all over the territories. You cold tell a cowboy by what they were wearing. During the main time, when cowboys were at their most popular, you could tell them by their red sash. You could not tell a cowboy what to do, or hold them in one place. They were like a brotherhood, or a gang. If something happened to one of their brothers, then it happened to all of them. When a cowboy gets arrested, other cowboys would bust them out of jail. They were like western Robin Hoods, steeling money from the rich, only they kept the money for themselves.
